Brown Sheep Cotton Fine knitting yarn is a unique blend of 80% soft Pima Cotton and 20% Merino Wool. It is durable, as to be expected from cotton, but has the elasticity from the wool. With so many colors to choose from this yarn is perfect for a lacy hoodie or a fancy tank top, this machine washable yarn is sure to hold up to your toughest tests.
Each 1/2 Lb. cone is approximately 225 Grams & 1000 Yards of Fingering/Sock weight yarn.
26 sts= 4 in on a 3mm- US2 Needle.
Hand Wash
Brown Sheep Yarns are permanently moth proofed using a non-insecticide; from their FAQ:
We use a non-insecticide chemical called Ecolan CEA to moth proof our wool. It is added to the dye bath at the same time as the dyes and is “permanent” in the sense that it will not wash, rub, or dry clean off the wool. The treatment works as an insect resist agent by making the wool protein unpalatable to the wool moth larvae.
