Harwick Shawl Kit featuring MadelineTosh

This lovely classic shawl has a lacey accent center that draws the eye.  All you need is 1 skein of our hand-dyed Madelinetosh - Merino Light to knit up this beautiful shawl. Textured and drapey, this shawl is perfect if you are looking for a smaller project. Wear it as a cowl with the lace center draping in front, or as a silky smooth shawl or scarf. 

The Harwick Shawl pattern is originally written for worsted weight; however, the designer expresses that this design can be easily adjusted to any weight and size. It has been knitted with a Merino Light (fingering weight) using a US6/4.00mm needle in the photo. The designer recommends testing your gauge prior to beginning.

• Knit: 23-30 stitches = 4 inches/10cm

Additional materials needed:

• US 6 (4.00mm) knitting needle - or size to achieve gauge

This would also knit up beautifully with our UrthYarns Harvest Fingering yarn, naturally dyed, extra-fine merino in lovely tonal shade or our Pashmina yarn by Madelinetosh. Merino, Cashmere, and Silk blend into an absolutely luxurious yarn. It is a sport weight yarn with 360 yds per skein, so you would need to adjust gauge accordingly as the shawl calls for approx. 400 yds.
