Rising from the Ashes: Our Eight-Month Journey

It's been a long 8 months getting back on our feet after our February fire. If it wasn't for the support from our customers cheering us on from the sidelines, we never would have made it to where we are today: reopened and thriving! We wanted to share what this journey has been like, from reopening our store and preparing for our first month of fiber club orders, to the changes we've made and our vision for the future.

Today we just wanted to talk about what it had been like, getting our store back up and open after the fire. 

How it was, preparing for the first month of our fiber club orders. 

Some changes that have happened here in the store and some changes we hope to see more of as the future continues! 

What it has been like

First off we have to talk about what the store was like after our fire, what it went through and how it's doing now. After our fire we had to liquidate all inventory, which meant having a completely empty store. If you've ever been in our store you know, that's a lot of inventory! 

It took our team about 2 months to restock the entire store to be ready enough to open back to the public. We are so thankful for the local community for their patience through this process. We finally have everything back up on shelves and are so excited to see all of our customers shop back in the store. 

Thank you to our entire team here at Paradise for making this a reality and for all of you who have come in to shop and say hi. 

How it was, preparing for the first month of our fiber club orders. 

After reopening, another big adventure that was on our list of "To-Do's" was bringing back Fiber Club. 

Fiber Club has always been one of our accomplishments we love getting to create for people and put together each month. We were blown away with all the orders we got. Our first month back we did over 600 Fiber Club orders! Our team worked incredibly hard to put these all together and get them out to you and we are so proud to have this service running. 

Do you love fiber and all the different ways you can create with it? Fiber club is just that! We provide you with a much-needed monthly dose of Fiber you can squeeze, love, and make into something all your own. We aim to get you out of a creative rut by offering you exclusive colorways, fiber types, and/or blends each month! Our monthly box has its own theme, accompanied by 4 to 10 oz of fiber, occasional tools, goodies, and a spinning recipe.

Changes we hope to accomplish

Although we have come a long way in being back, there is still so much work to do and we want to implement more changes for the future to make the store running as smoothly as possible! some changes we have coming.

Classes- We are hoping to bring classes back to the store. We hear all you local people asking for classes. It's taken a bit to train all of our employees, find teachers and organize things but we are starting to feel a bit of enough relief to bring classes back in the near future! Stay tuned for that and make sure to sign up for our newsletter so when we start classes again you wont miss important dates! 

We Want to Hear from You- We know there is still so much growth to do in the store and one way that helps us is hearing from our customers, first hand. What have you seen? What would you like to see? The good and the bad helps us in tremendous ways! Please let us know if there is anything you would like to see from us, or if there is anything you've already seen that you appreciate so we can learn and continue on the path forward!
