Lean On Us: Fiber Arts Expertise and Announcing the Ewenice Report

Our shop is one among many, so what makes us unique? With plentiful options, you might wonder, “What do you offer that I can’t find elsewhere?” It’s a great question that has a multi-part answer. In my opinion, it’s a combination of our incredibly talented team, personalized service we offer, and our passion for fiber arts that allows us to shine through. The store sells fiber arts supplies for crafting, but we are also a hub for the community and creators! Our goal is to support fiber artists and crafters in their journey in ways that rise above expectations. We do our best to provide hands-on assistance, expert advice, and suggestions for what supplies will meet your needs.

What Makes Our Shop Special: Expertise, Personalized Help, and Community

Our shop’s foundation is a dedicated team of about a dozen skilled individuals. Half of us are fiber arts experts, bringing decades of experience. The other half of our team excels at behind-the-scenes operations, so everything runs smoothly, giving you the best possible experience when you visit. Some of our team members with less fiber arts experience have caught the crafting bug themselves and are starting to learn, too!

Our staff has an impressive combined total of 157 years of experience in fiber arts, including 145 years in knitting, 116 years in crocheting, 53 years in weaving, 72 years in spinning, 44 years in dyeing, and 8 years in felting. This abundance of experience means we’re here to help you with your fiber arts projects, whatever the challenge. Whether you are deciphering a challenging pattern, finding the perfect yarn or fiber, or learning a new technique, we are here to help! We pride ourselves on offering personal, hands-on help to ensure you feel confident in your crafting journey.

Part of what makes us truly special is our strong community. Local crafters love the personal touch we provide, from exploring the best materials with you to offering expert advice tailored to you and your projects. We also love learning from our customers, who often teach us new tricks and tips that we’re excited to share with others.

At our shop, you can find all the supplies you need (or want!) — and you also get a group of passionate fiber arts enthusiasts ready to help you every step of the way. We love providing expert advice and quality materials to inspire you to try new projects. It is also a joy to see your craft ideas come to life, so please don’t hesitate to share your completed projects!

Introducing the Ewenice Report: Our Newest Information-Packed Resource

Along with our blog, which we’re updating with fresh content as we speak, we offer a newsletter. When you sign up, you'll get all the latest news about our shop, updates on sales, special promotions, and information about events and schedules. But that’s not all! Starting soon, we're introducing our brand-new Ewenice Report—a fun and informative newsletter crammed with tons of interesting fiber arts tidings!

For those who haven’t met her yet, Ewenice is our friendly shop mascot. If you are in our Fiber of the Month club, you’ll see some customized stickers featuring her. And she’s absolutely wild about fiber arts—just like we are! We couldn’t pass up the chance to bring you a newsletter packed with shop news, industry insights, fiber arts trends, and so much more. In each edition, you’ll find:

  • Featured Artists: Shining a spotlight on some talented creators in the fiber arts community.

  • Fiber  Arts Trends: Stay updated on what's making waves in the knitting, crocheting, weaving, spinning, felting, or dyeing worlds!

  • Tips & Tricks: Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, we share helpful tips to inspire projects and hone your skills.

  • Staff Picks: Discover the yarns, tools, and materials our team loves.

As a sneak peek into the Ewenice Report, we chat about something near and dear to many of us—the impact of JoAnn stores closing. It’s a big change for the crafting community, and in our first edition, we’ll discuss how it came about and ways in which we hope to help move our communities forward.

We’re thrilled to offer this new report to stay connected with our community, share helpful resources, and celebrate all things fiber. If you haven’t signed up yet, we’d love for you to join the Ewenice Report family. Don’t miss out on all the fun and fiber-filled updates!
