Silky & strong! The Wensleydale sheep is a British longwool with a natural luster. It is often blended with finer, shorter stapled wool, to create a strong yarn. Our beautiful Wensleydale top has one of the longest fibers in our natural breed range, with staple lengths of up to nearly 1 foot!
Wensleydale is easy to spin and creates a strong yarn that is weather-resistant and wears well.

- Staple length: approximately 8-11 inches or 200-300 mm
