Fire Update
Dear Valued Customers,
We regret to inform you that there was a fire outside our building on our back loading dock in the wee hours of the morning on February 26, 2024. Most importantly, no one was hurt in the incident. The fire was contained entirely to our outside loading dock. The cause is still under investigation.
As a result of having to make sure that no one was inside and that the fire didn't spread, the firefighters (to whom we are eternally grateful!!) had to break down our doors and had to punch holes in the ceilings and walls which has made some areas of the shop unsafe. As you might imagine with fire there is smoke. We are currently in the process of assessing and removing all of the damaged product from our inventory. This is a daunting task and we would never send out ANY product that does not meet our strict quality standards or is potentially hazardous or smelly. We have A LOT of inventory that is going to have to be scrapped but thankfully we also have some backstock and non textile items that were unharmed.
We are working as hard as possible to update our inventory and get back to our usual fast order processing and fulfillment. We are in the process of replenishing our stock to fulfill orders. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this difficult time. It is certainly not an update we wanted to share.
We are working hard to get rid of the bad product and clean up the mess as soon as possible. We will keep you updated on our progress and let you know when we are ready to reopen in the store. We hope to see you again soon and serve you with our quality yarn and friendly service.
If you have a current order, please note that we may need to put it on hold until we receive new inventory. If you are on a timeline or that will not work for you, we totally understand and would be happy to provide a refund. Please reach out to us at sales@paradisefibers.com with any concerns or questions about your order. We will also be able to drop ship a lot of products so if you’re ordering Ashford, Berroco, Brown Sheep, Kromski, Schacht, Lopi, Wool and the Gang and some others we will be able to get those directly to you from the manufacturer.
Thank you for your continued support and loyalty. As fellow fiber lovers I'm sure you can all appreciate how devasting it is to see a store full of beautiful yarn and fiber all destroyed overnight. We are grateful for your sympathy and understanding as we navigate this challenging time and strive to continue to deliver the best for our customers.
Sincerely,
The Paradise Fibers Team
