After the Rain is a sweater designed by Heidi Kirmaier. This simple sweater is perfect for those breezy spring and summer days. It is knit top-down seamlessly so you can try your sweater on as you knit for the perfect fit. The sweater is meant to be worn with positive ease but the pattern has some waist shaping to flatter your body. With 9 sizes this will fit a wide range of bodies.
The yarn for this kit is Hempathy by elsebeth lavold - the yarn is 34% Hemp, 41% Cotton and 25% Modal. Swatching for this project is essential because of the nice bloom of the yarn.
This sweater will fly off your needles - perfect in time for summer! The pattern is written for size US 4 (3.5mm) and US 3 (3.25mm) at a gauge of 22 stitches and 30 rows over 4 inches in stockinette stitch or whatever size needed to achieve this gauge.
The finished bust measurements are (in inches): XS (32 1/4), S1 (34 1/14), S2 (36 1/2), M1 (38 1/2), M2 (41 1/2), L1 (43 1/2), L2(45 3/4), XL (48 3/4), XXL (52 1/4).
The amount of hempathy yarn needed to complete each size is as follows:
For sizes, XS,S1,S2,M1,M2 you will need a total of 8 (4 of each color) Hempathy yarn balls.
For sizes, L, and XL you will need a total of 10 (5 of each color) Hempathy yarn balls.
For size XXL you need a total of 12 (6 of each color) Hempathy yarn balls.
In this kit you will receive Elsebeth Lavold Hempathy Yarn in two different colors with enough yarn to make a striped sweater and a copy of the pattern After the Rain by Heidi Kirrmaier. We do sell this pattern separately in our store for those of you who don't see the colors you like of the hempathy yarn available. Mix and match your own colors or use a different yarn. We thought we'd set up this kit for convenient shopping.
Please include your Ravelry ID in your order notes if you want us to add the pattern to your Ravelry library.

Crochet is the art of stitching thread or yarn onto itself to make patterned fabric. The process uses a single tool, called a crochet hook, to make loops out of the thread and pass the loops through each other. While the basic steps are the same, varying techniques result in different patterns. Crocheted material becomes doilies, afghans, curtains, and clothing. It is an art that has existed for centuries, but remains popular today...
