All Caught Up in Cotton Blends
Cotton blends - what are they, why choose them, and all the perks about cotton!
Mulberry silk is the highest quality silk available for purchase. The unique thing about Mulberry silk is how it is produced. Mulberry silk has its history in China, where local farmers grow mulberry leaves for silkworms, which are actually caterpillars, to feed on. The resulting cocoons are spun into raw Mulberry silk fibers.
Noil Fibers are the short fibers containing crushed pupa that remain after the silk is carded or combed for spinning. The short fibers and little neps give the noil fiber a nice texture for spinning or silk fusion.
This is Grade A noil perfect for adding texture to batts, or spun into yarns. Takes Dye Brilliantly. The possibilities are limitless!
