A true British longwool breed. The Whitefaced Woodland originated in the South Pennines of England. Closely related to the Swaledale and the Lonk. Whitefaced Woodland is one of the larger of the English hill breeds. Both sexes are horned with the males carrying heavily spiraled horns. This breed has a white face and white legs with lovely fleece. The staple length of the wool is between 10 and 15 cm with a 28-31 micron count. This roving can be used in many knitting projects for socks, sweaters, mittens, blankets, or even woven into rugs.

This fiber is a coarser fiber lending itself to many projects in the textile arts. This wool will even felt!
