Tussah Silk is a wild silk. Made from wild tussah silk worms who eat juniper leaves and oak.
As the Silk is produced in the wild and not in a controlled environment the silk tends to be less lustrous than Mulberry silk. We have natural silk in many forms. The dyes used are commercial acid dyes which conform with Oeko-Tex 100 quality system. These Tussah Silk Tops Spin with such ease! With a long staple length of 4-6 inches this fiber is ideal for carding, blending, or using in various felting and spinning projects.
