Start your creative journey with the popular Traditional Spinning Wheel from Ashford. This wheel is straight forward traditional design and is a fantastic starter wheel in a classic design. This Ashford wheel is available in Double Drive or Single Drive models depending on your preference and budget.
This wheel is best set up as a stationary wheel for best performance, rather than toting it around. The action is smooth for the price range and will last for years. Any of our double drive wheels can be used in single drive so if you're on the fence about double or single drive...get the double drive. It's not that much more expensive and it's totally worth it and of course, you can use it in single drive if and when you want to. This wheel package includes Lazy Kate and 4 bobbins.
New to spinning? Our Corriedale Cross Wool Top is a great wool to start out with. Also great for beginner spinners is our Blue Faced Leicester Roving. This roving is buttery soft with a little crimp in the individual fibers and a long staple length, making drafting and spinning a breeze!

In the case that our stock levels are too low, your order may need to be either ordered into our warehouse or directly to you from the manufacture, Ashford in New Zealand. Please allow 2-4 business days for them to process and ship out your order before receiving an e-mail with your tracking number. Should your order be back-ordered with our vendor, one of our customer service representatives will contact you with delays and shipping information.
Please note that Ashford shipments are sent via Fed-Ex and typically arrive within 3-5 business days after being shipped. Please provide a physical address for your order as Fed-Ex does not ship to PO Boxes. Drop-shipping is not available for international orders at this time so please allow time for your order to reach us before we ship it to you.
