Sailor Slippers Workshop – 3 Sessions (2 hours each)

Knit your own cozy Sailor Slippers by Annie Germain, any size from kids to adults! Over three fun sessions, you’ll learn all the techniques, from shaping the top and sole to seaming, adding the i-cord edge and felting. Bring your yarn and supplies. We are happy to help you choose colors and suggest the best yarn for your slippers!
What to bring:

100% wool (non-superwash) yarn in your chosen colors (main, accent, sole, i-cord). We used Lamb's Pride Bulky for our slippers.

8mm [US 11] needles (circular or straight)

Tapestry needle, stitch markers, scissors

You’ll Learn How To:

Read a multi-size slipper pattern (child through adult)

Knit flat stockinette and manage color stripes

Pick up stitches neatly along edges

Shape slippers with increases and decreases

Adjust length and width for different sizes

Seam slippers using mattress stitch and Kitchener stitch

Add an applied i-cord edge

Felt and shape slippers for a custom fit

For Yarn, check your pattern's yardage requirements. A standard pair of socks usually takes 100g of fingering weight, while a hat takes about 100g of worsted.For Spinning Fiber, a standard 4oz braid will generally make a pair of socks or a hat.
