Knitting Needle Cases

Pick a case by the needles you'll put in it. Fixed circulars go in the leather Project 7, Project 93 or the ChiaoGoo circular case. Interchangeable sets go in Project 14 XL, Project 34 or the HiyaHiya case. DPNs and crochet hooks fit Project 36.

Frequently Asked Questions

Count the sizes in your set and match them to the pockets. The HiyaHiya case has 16 needle pockets, Project 34 has 14, and Project 14 XL has 18 slim pockets plus 6 snap pockets for cables. Tell us which set you own and we'll name the case that holds it.

Give each circular its own pocket so the cables don't tangle and stay free of kinks that snag your yarn, as the Project 7, Project 93 and ChiaoGoo circular cases do.

Our leather Project cases are milled cow leather finished with a light wax, so each one carries its own grain. The ChiaoGoo and HiyaHiya cases are cotton and brocade, and the Lantern Moon Coco is a quilted fabric case. Choose by the pockets your needles need first.

It genuinely does both, which is why we think it's worth investing in a good one. Beyond keeping everything tidy and easy to find, a case keeps sets complete so you're not derailed by a missing size mid-project. Loose needles rattling around a drawer are far more likely to get damaged or lost than ones tucked into dedicated slots.

Many of our knitting and crochet needle cases are roomy enough to hold both, and a lot of crafters love consolidating everything into a single grab-and-go organizer. The thing to watch is that crochet hooks and double-pointed needles need snug pockets so they don't slip out, so look for a case with a mix of slot sizes or a secure flap. If you carry a mixed kit, ask us and we'll recommend a case that keeps all your tools in one tidy place.
