What’s the Stitch About Knitting Machines?
Let's talk about knitting machines! What are they, how do they work, and does it count as hand crafting if you use one? Why choose a knitting machine vs knitting by hand?
Pay homage to the last of the Dragon-born with a knit "Dragon Wing Cowl" from JessiAtHome. Kitted with 2 skeins of our Plymouth Homestead Tweed Yarn, this cowl will be lusciously rustic. You will need US 8 needles to knit your one of a kind wing and 3 3/4" buttons or horn/toggle buttons to clasp it.
Do not be daunted by this knitting venture. The Knit Dragon Cowl pattern uses simple increases and dropped stitches, which are picked up to be re-knit in bunches. These will give you the winged ridges throughout the cowl. Designer Jessie Rayot emphasizes the need to count and not drop stitches until the pattern says to do so.
