These high-quality wool hand combs are the only American Made combs featuring stainless steel tines that won't rust! These are designed and created right here at the shop with unmatched quality and craftsmanship.

What are wool combs used for? Wool combs are fiber preparation tools used after washing and picking your fleece, just before spinning. At this stage, combing aligns the fibers in one direction and removes shorter, neppy bits to create smooth, lustrous combed top. This preparation is ideal for spinning worsted yarns with strength and sheen, and wool combs also make it easy to blend fibers or colors for unique, custom spinning projects.

Why these wool combs are the best on the market:

  • Only Combs featuring true Stainless Steel Tines (won't rust)
  • Ergonomic Handles
  • Made from lightweight durable hardwood
  • Made in America

These wool combs are made with ergonomic handles to easily and comfortably fit any size hands. They are easy to work with and very efficient. Our wool combs were developed with form and function in mind and we think they have a great balance of both. Lightweight and very durable with locally sourced hardwood, these are high end, multi-purpose hand combs perfect for any fiber artist.

The stainless steel tines are 3/32 of an inch and are spaced 1/4 inch on center for a total of 23. The overall working width is 3 inches. The tines are 3 5/8in long with the shorter row being 3 3/8in long. These hand combs are ideal for opening up and loosening fiber to prepare spinning fiber for carding.

Wool Combs will help to sort out various staple lengths as well as to get rid of unwanted debris and vegetation that is trapped in the fibers, not all, but most. Watch the video to learn how to use wool combs and why they are a wonderful tool to aid in the processing of wool and other fibers.

Anybody who knows Paradise Fibers Fiber tools will tell you these are skillfully crafted, paying attention to detail and durability.
