Felted bowls are a useful work of art! Use yours as a yarn bowl, notions holder, or a catch-all for keys, your wallet, and AirPods. It also makes a beautiful home accent, try placing a small potted plant inside or styling it on a shelf.

In this hands-on class, you’ll create your very own one-of-a-kind wet felted wool vessel. Wet felting is an ancient technique that transforms loose wool fibers into a strong, seamless fabric using water, soap, and agitation.

We’ll start by laying soft wool roving over a template, then add warm soapy water and use rolling and pressure to felt the fibers together. As your bowl begins to take shape, you can personalize it by adding bits of yarn, sparkle, and fabric for extra texture and design.

It’s a truly magical process, watching a soft pile of wool transform into a sturdy, sculptural 3D piece with no knitting, no sewing, and no seams, just your own two hands (and a little elbow grease!).

Come ready to get a little wet, a little soapy, and leave with a beautiful handmade piece you’ll actually use every day.

I have participated in several local art shows. I am currently involved with and show my work with Little Spokane River Artist Studio.  Join me and learn the tactile, extremely satisfying process of wet felting.
