A felted pouch is the perfect blend of style and function! Use it to hold your phone, debit card, chapstick, and other everyday essentials. Add a leather cord, ribbon, or yarn for your straps.
In this class, you’ll create your own one-of-a-kind wet felted wool pouch. Wet felting is an ancient technique that transforms loose wool fibers into a strong, seamless fabric using water, soap, and agitation.
We’ll begin by laying out soft wool roving over a template, then add warm soapy water and use rolling and pressure to felt the fibers together. As your pouch takes shape, you can customize it with bits of yarn, sparkle, and fabric for added texture and personality.
It’s a magical process watching a soft pile of wool transform into a sturdy, functional 3D piece with no knitting, no sewing, and no seams, just your own two hands (and a little elbow grease!).

For Yarn, check your pattern's yardage requirements. A standard pair of socks usually takes 100g of fingering weight, while a hat takes about 100g of worsted.For Spinning Fiber, a standard 4oz braid will generally make a pair of socks or a hat.
