Malabrigo Nube Fibers are 4-ounce braids of exquisitely soft, hand-dyed, unspun merino top, ideal for felters, spinners, and knitters. Offered in a curated range of their most cherished vibrant hues, these “Nubes” (Spanish for clouds) are truly stunning. The roving can also be knit directly for a distinctively plush texture or utilized in thrums and needle felting projects, adding versatile elegance to your creative work.
Please note, these braids may need special care to spin, it's suggested to Pin Draft the fiber before-hand (Gently pulling the fiber in the same direction the fiber runs, in narrow strips, working it out) or steaming it if you are experienced with non-superwash Merino. Please call us if you ever need assistance working on this fiber!
Colors may vary between braids and dye lots. When planning a project requiring more than one braid allow for nuances. Being as this fiber is hand-dyed, each braid can vary in color, even in the same dyelot.
