Louet Spinning Wheels

Louet has been building spinning wheels in the Netherlands for over fifty years, and they are the rare brand using an open delta orifice on every wheel: no threading hook, no orifice-size limit, art yarn flows straight through. The S10 Classic and Concept, S17, and folding Victoria cover production, entry-level, and travel.

Built for spinners who put miles on a wheel

Louet's lineup reflects what the company has been known for since the 1970s: simple geometry, modular parts that swap across models, and the open delta orifice that sets every Louet wheel apart from the rest of the market.

The open delta orifice

Most spinning wheels route yarn through a small round hole in the flyer arm, which means a threading hook for every bobbin change and a hard size limit on what you can spin. Louet wheels use an open delta-shaped slot instead. Bulky singles, art yarn with locks and beads, novelty plies, none of it requires a special flyer or a workaround.

The lineup

The S10 Classic and S10 Concept are the production wheels, built around the bobbin-lead Irish tension Louet is famous for, with a Scotch tension Concept option for finer control. The S17 is the entry-tier wheel and a common first-wheel choice. The Victoria folds for travel without giving up the orifice or the build.

Parts, repair, and longevity

Louet parts cross-reference across the line, so one bobbin order or drive band can serve several wheels in one studio, and most parts are still being made for wheels sold thirty years ago. Paradise Fibers stocks Louet bobbins, drive bands, footman connectors, tension cords, and replacement parts, and the in-house wheel repair shop in Spokane handles Louet repairs when a part swap won't cut it.
