The Schacht bulky front maiden is what lets your wheel take the Bulky Plyer Flyer. Fit the maiden once and the same Bulky Plyer Flyer and bulky bobbins move between your Flatiron, Ladybug, Matchless, and Sidekick wheels.
The maiden carries a generously sized 7/8 Inch orifice for thick, bulky, and textured yarn, with sliding flyer hooks on incremental stops and large round guide hooks.
Choosing the right maiden
Match the maiden to your wheel. On a Matchless, match the tensioning hardware on the mother of all rather than guessing the year:
- Quick release lever fits Matchless wheels built after 01/19/2012, the new style mother of all.
- T knob fits Matchless wheels built before 01/19/2012.
Cherry maidens are finished to match Schacht cherry wheels. Maple is the standard finish.
Front maiden only. The Bulky Plyer Flyer and bulky bobbins are sold separately.

A standard pair of socks usually takes 100g of fingering weight, while a hat takes about 100g of worsted.For Spinning Fiber, a standard 4oz braid will generally make a pair of socks or a hat.
