The Glimakra Standard is the classic Swedish countermarch floor loom, the loom generations of weavers have relied on for rugs, blankets, yardage, and fine cloth alike. Its countermarch action raises and lowers the shafts independently, so every shed opens clean and even, even with many shafts threaded or with heavy, sticky yarns on the warp. The sturdy frame is built to be woven hard for a lifetime and to be handed down.
Choose the weaving width that fits your work: 39 inches (100 cm), 47 inches (120 cm), or 59 inches (150 cm). Each width is offered with 4 shafts and 6 treadles, 8 shafts and 10 treadles, or 10 shafts and 10 treadles, and the loom can be expanded later as your weaving grows. Select a vertical or horizontal countermarch. A vertical countermarch is the one to pick if you plan to add a Myrehed drawloom down the road. Choose your reed dent (5, 6, 8, 10, or 12 dents per inch) at checkout.

A standard pair of socks usually takes 100g of fingering weight, while a hat takes about 100g of worsted.For Spinning Fiber, a standard 4oz braid will generally make a pair of socks or a hat.
