These whorls fit both the Sonata & Fantasia spinning wheels! The Fantasia comes with a Magnetic flyer now, but if you have an older Sonata (NOT the Encore) they will not fit. YOu need either a Sonata Encore, or the Magnetic Flyer Upgrade Kit. Due to differences between the Sonata & Fantasia, the ratios are also not the same. They're very close but differ slightly.
Fantasia Ratios: 10:1 & 14:1
Sonata Ratios: 10.5:1 & 15:1

A standard pair of socks usually takes 100g of fingering weight, while a hat takes about 100g of worsted.For Spinning Fiber, a standard 4oz braid will generally make a pair of socks or a hat.
