The Standard Fast whorl is the step up from the Kromski Fantasia's standard whorl, with higher ratios that put more twist into each treadle for sport weight and finer yarn. On the Fantasia, it gives fine yarn its twist at a calm treadling pace. The Sonata Encore comes with one, so on that wheel it's the spare or the replacement.

The Fantasia's flyer is held on by a magnet, so it comes off for a bobbin or whorl change without taking off the drive band. Kromski built the Sonata Encore's magnetic head for easy whorl changes too.
Yarn that overtwists and won't wind on usually means the ratio is too high for that yarn, so move to the larger groove or a slower whorl. Yarn that pulls apart usually means the ratio is too low, so go faster.
