This compact wheel is lightweight and portable with a folding treadle, built-in lazy Kate, and carry handle. Fold and go – it can be carried easily in cars, as carry-on luggage in planes (check with your airline first as this varies from aircraft to aircraft) and takes up little space at home. The Joy 2 even comes with its very own carrying bag!
Spin a variety of yarns using the four ratios. The stretchy drive cord does not require any adjustment as you change from one ratio to another and always maintains the correct tension. The wheel and flyer are mounted on ball bearings for effortless spinning. Smooth and quiet with treadles mounted on polyurethane hinges to allow a comfortable heel-toe action. The wheel comes assembled and lacquered, ready for spinning.

The Freedom Flyer is a jumbo flyer unit for your Ashford Joy spinning wheel. This fantastic flyer allows you to spin art yarn and other yarns that have too large a diameter to fit through the 1-centimeter orifice that is on the standard flyer that comes on the Joy 2.

Our first response to your order would be to have it shipped directly from our warehouse. In the case that our stock levels are too low, your order may need to be either ordered into our warehouse or directly to you from the manufacture, Ashford in New Zealand. Please allow 2-4 business days for them to process and ship out your order before receiving an e-mail with your tracking number. Should your order be back-ordered with our vendor, one of our customer service representatives will contact you with delays and shipping information.
Please note that Ashford shipments are sent via Fed-Ex and typically arrive within 3-5 business days after being shipped. Please provide a physical address for your order as Fed-Ex does not ship to PO Boxes. Drop-shipping is not available for international orders at this time so please allow time for your order to reach us before we ship it to you.

A standard pair of socks usually takes 100g of fingering weight, while a hat takes about 100g of worsted.For Spinning Fiber, a standard 4oz braid will generally make a pair of socks or a hat.
