Vertical plying kate from Ashford in silver beech hardwood. Holds three Standard or Sliding Hook bobbins, or two Jumbo bobbins, on simple upright rods so yarn pulls smoothly off each bobbin during ply. This is the same lazy kate that ships standard with the Ashford Traditional Spinning Wheel.
Fits the bobbins used on the Ashford Traditional, Traveller, Joy 2, Kiwi 3, and e-Spinner 3. For Country Spinner or Super Jumbo bobbins (27mm core), use the Ashford Lazy Kate Super Jumbo instead. If you want adjustable brake tension to control how much yarn pulls off as you ply, step up to the Ashford Tensioned Lazy Kate.
Ships natural unfinished with sandpaper included. Sand smooth and apply your own lacquer or wax before use to seal and protect the wood.
