Ashford Knitters Loom Stand

The Ashford Knitters Loom Stand is the weaving station for an already-warped Knitters Loom. Warp the loom flat on a table, then move it onto the stand once you are ready to weave. A single adjustable frame fits all three widths, so this is the right stand whether you weave on the 12 Inch, 20 Inch, or 28 Inch Ashford Knitters Loom.

The footrest at the bottom of the stand does double duty. The Knitters Loom Stand is compact and portable by design, and that same small footprint means the weaver shares the bracing work with the stand. Press back through the footrest with your feet as you beat the reed, and the stand stays planted in front of you. Without that pressure, especially on heavier warps where the beat carries more force, the stand can tip toward you. Weavers settle into engaging the footrest within the first session, and once you have the technique the stand stays exactly where you put it.

Built from lacquered solid silver beech to match the loom, the stand uses bolt-and-barrel-nut joinery that goes together with a single Allen key, and the stand has onboard storage for the key when you are done. Side support braces hold the frame square under treadling, the loom angle adjusts for comfortable weaving posture, and the stand stores compact when it is time to put it away. This stand is the correct stand for every current Ashford Knitters Loom. It does not fit the Ashford SampleIt Loom or the Ashford Standard Rigid Heddle Loom, which each use their own dedicated stand.
