Schacht's 9" Mini Boat Shuttle is great for all sorts of weaving, but typically used for floor and table looms. Hard maple with a hand rubbed Danish oil finish, they're delightfully smooth and well balanced. This 9" duck-nosed shuttle is wonderful for narrow widths and fine yarns and is styled after a Japanese silk shuttle.
This shuttle uses the Schacht 4" plastic bobbins, or if you're feeling adventurous you can cut down weaving quills to match the shuttle size.
Please be aware that they do not come with a bobbin, you will need order them separately.

For Yarn, check your pattern's yardage requirements. A standard pair of socks usually takes 100g of fingering weight, while a hat takes about 100g of worsted.For Spinning Fiber, a standard 4oz braid will generally make a pair of socks or a hat.
