The Addi Mystic Rocket is the metal needle wood lovers will reach for. Solid anodized aluminum tips with a soft pink-to-mauve finish that warms toward bronze where it meets the brass ferrule, fine Lace points, and a flexible gold cord, configured as a fixed 60 inch circular for blankets, large shawls, magic loop on the longest projects, and any work that needs the maximum cord length.

The Mystic is the second product in Addi's Velvet Touch platform, launched in 2025 as the year-round companion to the seasonal addiChristmas. Both share an anodized aluminum substrate that warms to the touch in the way wood needles do, with more grip than polished metal and less drag than bamboo. The matte velvety surface helps slippery yarns hold their shape on the needle, and the finish is anti-glare in any lighting, which keeps stitches readable on dark fingering weight and lace patterns where reflection from polished metal can fight the eye.

Lace tips handle fine yarns and intricate stitch patterns without splitting plies. Brass ferrules join the tips to the flexible gold-colored cord with the seamless transition Addi has built since 1829 in Altena, Germany. Backed by Addi's 10 year guarantee.

About the Mystic Finish

The anodized aluminum tips are a soft matte mauve to rose with warm undertones, and the brass ferrule at the join adds a bronze accent where the tip meets the cord. The cord stays a uniform warm gold across all sizes.

Compatible Accessories and Companions

The Mystic Rocket is a fixed circular, so the useful companions are sizing tools and the small-circumference sibling needles:

The Mystic Rocket comes in five lengths. Shorter circumferences fit hats and sleeves; longer ones handle sweater bodies, shawls, and magic loop. Browse the other lengths: 24 inch, 32 inch, 40 inch, and 47 inch. The full Addi range, including straights, double points, and interchangeable sets, is in the Addi collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Addi Mystic Rocket the same needle as the addiMystic Lace?

Yes. Addi sells the line globally as addiMystic Lace, and Skacel rebrands it as Mystic Rocket for the US market to align with the existing Rocket, Rocket 2 Squared, and Ewenicorn Rocket families. Both names refer to the same needle, manufactured as Addi Art # 706 in Altena, Germany.

Does this cord have a lifeline eyelet like the Ewenicorn Rocket?

No. The Ewenicorn Rocket uses an SOS cable with a slit near each tip for inserting a lifeline. The Mystic Rocket uses Addi's standard flexible gold cord with a smooth ferrule join. If you need the lifeline feature, the Ewenicorn Rocket is the line to look at.

Why is the cord gold and the tips pink?

The cord is the same gold polyamide Addi uses across the rest of its line. The tips are anodized aluminum in a soft mauve-rose. The brass ferrule at the join carries the warmth between the two. The combination is part of the Mystic design rather than a manufacturing inconsistency.
