The BEKA BEGINNER'S WEAVING LOOM is perfect for the young and the young-at-heart! An excellent rigid heddle loom for the beginning weaver, it also performs well as a portable loom for more experienced weavers. This loom features Beka rigid heddles which provide the weaver with an easy and reliable method of weaving. This loom is very similar to a back strap loom or band weaving (only with a frame that allows you to set the loom down and take breaks easily).  Both simple and complex techniques may be done with this loom....and it is another Made in the USA product we are proud to offer.

Made of hard maple, our BEGINNER'S WEAVING LOOM comes fully assembled with a pre-warped heddle. A basic project is started on the loom, and is ready for weaving. We include enough "warp" to weave a 3 - 4 foot long strip of fabric, and enough "weft" to see how the loom works.  To complete the starter project, the weaver will need to provide their own "weft" yarn, which can be almost anything (including yarn left over from other projects).  The loom's instructions move through how to weave the rest of the project, then go step-by-step through planning and starting another project. Weaving can be started as soon as the loom is out of its box, just remember you will need to add more of your own yarn to continue weaving!  Weave projects up to 10" wide X 3 yards long. The assembled loom measures 12" wide X 21-1/2" long, and comes with one shuttle. The started project uses a 4" wide (8 dent) heddle for a narrow band of fabric. A 10" wide (10 dent) heddle is included. Weight 4 lbs.  Rolls of yarn (in pictures) sold separately. Adult Assembly Required.  #07201  Recommended age:  13+ years
