Wetspun line linen, which is the smooth kind. Line flax means the long fibres, hackled out from the short tow and spun wet so they lie flat, so it comes off the cone crisp rather than hairy. If you have never woven linen, 16/2 is the size to start on.
- 100% flax, wetspun.
- Unbleached, 8.8 oz cone, about 1,345 yards.
- Half bleached, 8.8 oz cone, about 1,509 yards.
- Plus or minus 5%. Bleaching strips weight from flax, so the bleached cone runs longer at the same weight.

A standard pair of socks usually takes 100g of fingering weight, while a hat takes about 100g of worsted.For Spinning Fiber, a standard 4oz braid will generally make a pair of socks or a hat.
