When you first cast on this Mobius, you may sigh “oh” because cast on technique may be new to you and there are a lot of stitches to cast on. After working a few rounds of the easily memorized 12-stitch pattern you’ll exclaim “Oh!” when you discover how the design creates a one sided wrap with mirrored diagonal stripes and only one edge, the bound of edge. Hence the name Oh Möbius, or Ohmö for short.

This shawl is knit in the round on 60 inch long circular needles. The stitch pattern has both charted and written instructions.

This pattern includes a photo tutorial demonstrating how to do the Möbius cast on.
