Details
Replace or upgrade the whorl on your Schacht-Reeves Saxony spinning wheel with this Super High Speed Whorl, crafted in beautiful ash wood. Designed exclusively for the Schacht-Reeves Saxony wheel, note that these whorls are not interchangeable with other Schacht wheels (Matchless, Ladybug, Flatiron, or Sidekick).
Spinning Ratios (30" wheel):
- Large groove: 34:1
- Small groove: 38.5:1
The Super High Speed whorl is ideal for spinning ultra-fine fibers and lace-weight yarns at fast treadling rates.
Note: A high speed bobbin is required when using this whorl in double drive mode. It is not required for Scotch tension mode.
Each Schacht-Reeves wheel comes standard with medium and fast speed whorls. Additional whorls (slow, high speed, and super high speed) are available separately in both ash and cherry wood.
