The Schacht Wolf Pup Double Back Beam adds a second warp beam to your Wolf Pup LT or Wolf Pup 8.10, mounted above the standard back beam and tensioned by its own friction brake. Two warps, two tensions, one project.

This is the accessory that unlocks weave structures requiring differential warp tension. Warp pile and corduroy need the pile warp to feed slack while the ground warp holds tight. Bedford cord runs stuffer warps under their own tension. Piqué balances a face warp and a back warp at separate rates. Turned monk's belt and similar pattern weaves take up the pattern warp differently from the ground. Supplementary warp inlay, tension-driven seersucker, and doubleweave with mismatched shrinkage between layers all assume two beams. The common workaround on a single-beam loom, weighting individual bobbins off the back, is uneven and fiddly across the length of a real warp. The Double Back Beam is the engineered answer.

The upper beam mounts to the existing Wolf Pup frame and stays installed; it is not a between-project swap. The added depth at the rear of the loom slightly increases folded thickness, worth noting if you store the loom folded. The 18 In width matches the Wolf Pup frame, and the maple matches the loom's hard maple construction with Danish oil finish.
