We specifically selected this type of leather for its sought-after aging qualities, like the characteristic caramelization of the colour, a unique patina giving it a sense of history and character. The soft leather easily shows signs of use, which is why each case comes with a small piece of wool felt that is extremely effective at quickly brushing away marks or scratches.
Thread and Maple is a Canadian women-owned business ran by founders Samantha Perrault and Olga Paskalenko who's primary goal is to bring exquisitely made products to market made by local and international artisans. They are makers themselves who take pride in dying their own yarn, designing their own products and taking their own pictures. They seek to incorporate lots of elements of nature into as many of their products as possible. You will often see natural materials such as maple wood, cork, leather and cotton throughout their collections. They are passionate about giving back to causes that are close to their hearts.
