The Arras Treadle Kit moves the shedding device to your feet. Press one treadle, then the other, to change sheds, and both hands stay on the weaving.
It needs the Arras Stand. The treadles mount on the Stand, so the kit isn't used on a tabletop Arras.
- Fits: any Arras Tapestry Loom on an Arras Stand, with or without the Arras Beam Kit.
- Two treadles: you set them up the way that suits you, and Schacht's assembly manual shows the arrangements.
- Cord guide blocks are in the box. They go on when the loom has the Beam Kit and stay in the bag when it doesn't.
- Install it before you warp. Fit the kit to an unwarped loom, then warp as usual.
