Flat steel heddles, stamped in one piece with a closed eye and closed end loops. The loops are sprung slightly out of the plane of the strip, so a stack of them touches only at those high points instead of lying face to face. That's what keeps them from clinging together and packing into a block on the shaft bar, and it's the difference between sliding one heddle across and dragging twelve along with it.

Measurements

  • 12 7/8 In overall, 11 3/4 In loop center to loop center
  • 9 In overall

These thread onto an empty shaft. The end loops don't open, so you can't add one to a warp that's already threaded. If that's the job you have, our repair heddles have a sprung end that goes onto a loaded bar.

There's no maker's mark on these, so match them by measuring a heddle you already have rather than by loom model. Center to center is the figure that has to suit your shaft bars.
