Fiber Content: 70% Merino Wool, 30% Stellina

Glitter White/Green is a sparkling spinning and felting fiber: 70% natural undyed white merino top blended with 30% ultra sparkly green Stellina. The result is a soft mint and sage green with glints of light all through it, a quick way to add shimmer to yarn, felt or woven pieces.

Stellina is a fine, man-made sparkle fiber of polyester and nylon. It is similar to Angelina, but with a softer, smoother hand, so it blends into merino without feeling scratchy.

Questions about Glitter Fiber

What is Stellina?

Stellina is a fine sparkle fiber made from polyester and nylon. It is softer and smoother than Angelina and blends easily with wool.

Does the sparkle survive felting?

Yes. The merino felts and locks the Stellina in place, so the sparkle stays on the surface of the finished piece.

Is it soft enough to wear?

Yes for hats, cowls and accessories. The merino is 25 micron, a medium-fine wool, and the Stellina is soft to the touch.

How is it priced?

Sold by the ounce. Quantity pricing applies automatically at 4 oz, 8 oz, 1 lb, 2 lb and 5 lb, so buying for a sweater costs far less per ounce than buying a single sample.
