What’s the Stitch About Knitting Machines?
Let's talk about knitting machines! What are they, how do they work, and does it count as hand crafting if you use one? Why choose a knitting machine vs knitting by hand?
Kromski Prelude Spinning Wheel - Unfinished is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The Prelude Spinning Wheel is Kromski's smallest single-drive Saxony wheel, with an 18" diameter for compact portability in the outstanding craftmanship of the antique Saxony style. Easy assembly and a multitude of attributes make this perfect for both beginners and lifetime use. This multi-speed/ratio wheel features Scotch Tension and is available in unfinished, finished clear, walnut, and mahogany. Your wheel includes a Built-In Lazy Kate (two bobbin capacity), 3 bobbins, Spinning Wheel Oil, Wrench, and a Threading Hook.
Jumbo Flyer kits are available to upgrade your Prelude. These expand the spinners range in two ways. First, the type of yarn created can vary from lace-weight to super bulky art yarn because of the larger orifice on the jumbo flyer. Subsequently, the jumbo bobbin allows spinners twice the capacity of the regular Kromski bobbin. A regular Kromski bobbin already offers 50% greater space than most standard bobbins in the industry with a generous 4.2 ounce capacity. Jumbo bobbins double that, essentially allowing you to spin two regular bobbins worth without a bobbin change! This means longer, continual drafts for skeins with greater yardage.
Our first response to your order would be to have it shipped directly from our warehouse. In the case that our stock levels are too low, your order may need to be either ordered into our warehouse or shipped directly to you from Kromski’s warehouse in Georgia, USA. Please allow 3-5 business days for them to process and ship out your order before receiving an e-mail with your tracking number. Should your order be backordered with our vendor, one of our customer service representatives will contact you with delays and shipping information.
Please note that Kromski shipments are sent via UPS or USPS and typically arrive within 3-7 business days after being shipped. Please provide a physical address for your order as UPS does not send to PO Boxes. Direct shipping is not available for international orders at this time so please allow time for your order to reach us before we ship it to you.
