Louet Cotton Hand Cards - Extra Fine Cloth

Carding and combing are pre-spinning treatments to align the fibers which enables you to spin fibers more easily. For the technique of felting or making woolen blankets, carding is essential. Combing straightens the fibers more than carding. This difference determines the character of the spun thread: worsted or woolen-spun. Loue?t handcards are made of tulip wood, a Dutch Poplar variety. These light weighted handcards have a curved back and ergonomic handles that fit comfortably in your hands. The 19 x 10 cm (7 1/2" x 4") handcards are available in fine (46 teeth per square inch) and extra fine cloth (cotton carders, 110 teeth per square inch); the 10 x 10 cm (4" x 4") handcards are only available in extra fine cloth. In order to ensure a long life, the teeth on all Lou?t carders are made of high grade plated steel wire.

Our first response to your order would be to have it shipped directly from our warehouse. In the case that our stock levels are too low, your order may need to be either ordered into our warehouse or dropshipped directly to you from Louet in Canada. Please allow 3-5 business days for them to process and ship out your order before receiving an e-mail with your tracking number. Should your order be backordered with our vendor, one of our customer service representatives will contact you with delays and shipping information. 

Please note that Louet drop-ships are sent via UPS or Fedex and typically arrive within 3-5 business days after being shipped. Please provide a physical address for your order as UPS does not send to PO Boxes. Drop-shipping is not available for international orders at this time so please allow time for your order to reach us before we ship it to you.
