Details
A shuttle race is a bar that sits below the shed so the bottom half of the warp rests on it and the shuttle slides across instead of being thrown through open air. At the wider weaving widths that is the difference between a shuttle that lands every time and one that dives into the warp.
The 16-shaft Jane already has one fitted. This kit is for the 8-shaft, and Louet designed it to go on at any time. The bar clips on and off and the height adjusts, so you can take it off for a fine warp where you want the extra clearance.
Each kit fits one loom width.
