Zwartbles is a beautiful, naturally black (aka dark chocolate) fiber with lots of loft. A medium-range wool that lends itself to woolen spinning and felts beautifully. It has a strong crimp and a long staple length of 4-5 inches with an average micron count of 27-32. It is more suitable for outerwear, blankets, rugs, and other projects that require wool that is hard-wearing and resilient. Treat yourself to some fiber with plenty of squish today. The Zwartbles is a rare breed of domestic sheep that hails from the Friesland region of the north Netherlands, first imported from Holland in the early 1990's.
