Queensland Coastal Cotton Fine is the sport weight version of Coastal Cotton: the same soft, smooth 100% cotton spun finer, with 350 yards to the 100 gram ball. It's the one for lightweight summer garments, shawls, baby things and dishcloths where you want a thinner, drapier fabric than the worsted gives.

It knits at 23 to 26 stitches over 4 inches on US 3 to 5, crochets on an E to G hook, and the long yardage means a lace shawl or a baby cardigan often comes out of two balls. Machine washable and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, so it's safe for the things that get washed most.

For color already in the ball, Fine Ocean Mist is the speckled print of this yarn. If you'd rather work at a worsted gauge, Coastal Cotton is the same cotton at 185 yards to the ball.
