Queensland Coastal Cotton Ocean Mist is the speckled version of Coastal Cotton: the same soft 100% cotton in worsted to light aran weight, with flecks of color printed along each 100 gram ball. It gives a plain stitch pattern a lot of life, which is why it's the pick for summer tops, baby blankets and simple crochet where the yarn does the decorating.
Each ball is 185 yards on US 7 to 9 needles or an I to K hook, and it's machine washable and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. The speckles read best in stockinette, garter and single crochet. Textured stitches bury them a little, so if you're planning cables or lace, pair an Ocean Mist color with a matching Coastal Cotton solid and let the solid carry the texture.
Coral Reef is the bolder print on the same cotton, and Fine Ocean Mist is this print in sport weight.
