A replacement regular flyer for your Schacht spinning wheel. This is the everyday flyer that came with the wheel, sold on its own so you can replace a damaged one or keep a second flyer set up and ready to go.

What you get
One regular flyer assembly with its sliding hooks. A bobbin is not included. If you need bobbins, the Standard Bobbin runs on this flyer, as do the Travel and High Speed bobbins.
Why keep a second flyer
Spinners who ply a lot often keep two flyers so a project can stay loaded on one while the other is in use. Swapping a whole flyer is faster than unloading a bobbin mid project.
Spinning chunky or art yarn?
The regular flyer orifice is sized for standard singles. For chunky yarn, art yarn, or heavy plying you want the Bulky Flyer Package, which has a wider 7/8 In orifice and a large capacity bobbin.

A standard pair of socks usually takes 100g of fingering weight, while a hat takes about 100g of worsted.For Spinning Fiber, a standard 4oz braid will generally make a pair of socks or a hat.
