These X-Flex cables fit ChiaoGoo tips with the Small join. Which US sizes that covers depends on your tip length.
| Your tips | Small cable fits |
|---|---|
| 4 and 5 in tips | US 2 to 8 |
| 2 and 3 in tips (Shorties, 3 in lace) | US 4 to 8 |
US 2, 2.5 and 3 are the only sizes that switch. They're Small on 4 and 5 in tips and Mini on 2 and 3 in tips, so short tips in those sizes go on Mini TWIST Red cables. For US 9 to 15, choose Large TWIST Red cables.
Length is the cable only. The finished circular is the cable plus both tips.
- An 8 in cable goes with 2, 3 or 4 in tips, and makes a 16 in circular with 4 in tips.
- Use the 6 in cable with 2 or 3 in Shorties tips, and the 5 in with 2 in Shorties.
- The 2 in cables come three to a pack, for adding length to a cable with a connector or making flexible double points with short tips.
X-Flex Blue is the same memory-free, multi-strand steel cable as TWIST Red, coated in blue nylon and made more flexible. It keeps the lifeline hole for the tightening key, and Small TWIST, SPIN and Forté tips all fit, since only the join letter has to match.
The Small connectors, end stoppers and Swivel Adapter fit these cables. For longer Small cables with a swivel built in, see Small SWIV360 cables.
