ChiaoGoo Quads 5" Square Interchangeable Knitting Needle Tips

The ChiaoGoo Quads bring a distinctive square profile to interchangeable knitting needle tips. Flat sides with softly rounded edges sit comfortably in the hand, which many knitters find more relaxing than a traditional round profile on long projects. Needle preference is personal and some knitters will always prefer round, but the square shape has a loyal following among those who like a faceted needle in hand and a more secure grip.

This is the 5 Inch length, the longer of the two Quads tip options. The extra inch gives more needle to hold onto, making the 5 Inch a natural fit for larger projects or anyone who simply prefers a longer tip.

Premium Materials and Precision Tips

Crafted from hypoallergenic stainless steel, the surface is smooth and sleek, letting stitches glide easily while still offering excellent control. The precision-machined tips use ChiaoGoo's signature lace tip profile, sharp and fine-pointed, especially well-suited for intricate lacework and detailed stitch patterns while performing beautifully on structured garments.

4 Inch or 5 Inch: Choosing Your Tip Length

You're looking at the 5 Inch tips, which feel natural for larger projects and knitters who like more needle to hold onto. The 4 Inch tips are the alternative if you tend toward smaller circumference projects or prefer more controlled movements close to the work. Both lengths are available in the Quads range across the same gauges.

Cable Compatibility

Compatible with all ChiaoGoo small [S] and large [L] interchangeable cables. For the smoothest experience, ChiaoGoo recommends pairing the Quads with Swiv360 cables or the new Swivel adaptors, which provide full rotational freedom for uninterrupted knitting.

What Makes Quads Different

The Quads are purposefully calibrated to match the gauge of equivalent round tips, so there's no need to size up unlike some other square needle brands. The square shape is also more complex to manufacture, which is why they sit at a higher price point than standard round tips. For knitters who prefer a faceted needle, the Quads remove the guesswork of compensating for different needle gauges across brands.
