This is the slow whorl from the Kromski Symphony and Polonaise Jumbo Flyer Sets, sold on its own as a spare or a replacement. Its 5 and 7.2:1 ratios put less twist into each treadle than the wheel's own 8 to 20:1, for spinning thick singles and plying heavy yarn.

Either one. The Symphony and Polonaise both run in single drive with scotch tension or in double drive, and the drive mode comes from how the band is routed, not from the flyer. The jumbo flyer runs in whichever mode your wheel is set up for.
The larger groove gives the slower 5:1, for the thickest yarn. The smaller groove gives 7.2:1. If thick yarn overtwists and won't wind on, move the band to the larger groove.
