Hold the cross, keep the warp in order

Leclerc wooden lease sticks slide through the cross of your warp from beaming through threading, keeping every end in sequence. The wood is warm in the hand, smooth against yarn, and traditional in feel. Sold individually so you can build the warping kit you actually need at the widths you actually weave. The sticks are finished with a smooth lacquer.

Built for warping, made to last

  • Smooth finish slides through the cross without snagging
  • Holes drilled at each end for lashing cord
  • Eight lengths from 15.75 In through 100 In, covering everything from the smallest Voyageur to the widest Kebec II
  • Made in Plessisville, Quebec by Leclerc since 1876

Sizing your lease sticks

Pick a length a few inches longer than your warp width. Lease sticks need to project past the side ties so the lashing cord has somewhere to anchor. All sticks measure roughly 3/4 In Wide, and 5/16 In Thick.

  • 15.75 In, Voyageur 15.75 In, Dorothy 15.75 In, Penelope II

Sold individually, used in pairs

Lease sticks work as a pair, one above the cross and one below. Most weavers also keep a spare set in their warping kit. Add two or four to cart depending on your setup.
