The Dorothy 15 3/4 is LeClerc's side lever table loom, in 4, 8 or 12 shafts. Each shaft has its own lever on the side of the loom, graduated in length with a colored tab, so the shafts are easy to pick out and one move selects or releases a shaft. A friction brake holds the back beam, and the front lever releases it when you advance the cloth.
LeClerc builds it for schools, summer camps, occupational therapy and hobby weavers, and its base folds for carrying and storage.
Shafts
The 4 shaft has LeClerc's short frame, which holds its one 4 shaft section with the levers on the right. The 8 and 12 shaft sit on a deeper frame built for two or three sections, levers set right, left, right, and the 12 ships as one loom, the base with three 4 shaft heads. Added sections fit the deeper frame only, so if you may want more than 4 shafts, choose the 8 or 12 now. An 8 takes a third section later to become a 12.

Spares and add-ons
The Dorothy 4 shaft section, levers left or right, takes an 8 shaft to 12. Spare slim boat shuttles match the one in the box, and LeClerc's Texsolv heddles come in the same 9 1/2 in length as the wire ones.
For wider cloth, the Dorothy 24 is the same loom at 24 in, in 4 or 8 shafts, and its 4 shaft takes LeClerc's treadle stand.
