The Majacraft Turkish Drop Spindle Set gives you four swappable arm sets at 10g, 15g, 20g, and 30g on a single shared shaft, so you're never locked into one yarn weight. Most drop spindles, Turkish or otherwise, come in a single fixed weight. This set covers the full range from gossamer lace to plying-weight DK, and the arms swap in seconds thanks to Majacraft's square peg-and-hole system, which locks each arm set positively onto the shaft with no wobble. You won't find this on other Turkish spindles.

The weights at a glance

10g: Ultra-fine. For lace weight, cobweb, and luxury short-staple fibers like cashmere, qiviut, and fine merino. Best for experienced spinners chasing the thinnest possible singles.

15g: Fine to lace. More forgiving than the 10g while still firmly in fine territory. Great for silk blends, BFL, and anything headed toward a delicate shawl or lightweight accessory.

20g: Fingering to sport. The everyday workhorse of the set. Handles a wide range of wools beautifully including Corriedale, Romney, and alpaca blends, with enough mass for a steady, confident spin.

30g: Sport to DK, and ideal for plying. The most beginner-friendly weight in the set. The extra momentum gives you more time to draft, and the heavier pull makes it the natural choice when working two strands together.

Note: the weights overlap in practice. A 15g loaded with yarn spins increasingly like a 20g, so the ranges blend and give you even more flexibility than four discrete weights suggests.
